AWS LAUNCHES MONGODB COMPATIBLE ALTERNATIVE
Last year MongoDB introduced a server-side public licence. In response, AWS have introduced Amazon DocumentDB – a fast, scalable, highly available and fully managed document database service that supports MongoDB workloads. Developers can still use the same MongoDB application code they already use in their MongoDB applications. However, all the underlying infrastructure is now managed by AWS. We’re guessing MongoDB is going to have some choice words to say about this!
