MICROSOFT ANNOUNCES THE PREVIEW OF DIRECT-UPLOAD TO AZURE MANAGED DISKS

Up until now there’s never been a way to bring an on-premises virtual hard disk (VHD) to Azure as a managed disk without coming across issues such as the need for extra storage accounts, or additional costs of running VMs. But last month that all changed with the preview of direct-upload to Azure managed disks which addresses the above issues and provides a simplified workflow by allowing copy of an on-premises VHD directly as a managed disk.

NEW CAPABILITY SIMPLIFIES BULK MANAGEMENT FOR USERS AND GROUPS

Last month Microsoft announced the public preview of a capability to help you easily perform bulk management activities on users and groups in the Azure AD administration portal by uploading a CSV file. In addition, you can download a CSV file that lists the users, groups, or members of a group in Azure AD. With this new capability, you can complete ad-hoc tasks without having to write a PowerShell script or use repetitive manual steps.

To try out these preview experiences navigate to a Users, Groups, or Members page in the Azure AD administration portal. Or, for more information on the new capability click here.
